We are all carriers! We are carriers in so many ways. We might be carriers of the COVID-19 virus if we don’t practice social distancing and listen to authorities, but we are also carriers of hope and carriers of fear. As we experience a situation such as this, facing quarantine and lockdowns, something almost all of us are unsure of and don’t know how to react to, we have a choice to make.
We can be carriers of hope, spreading cheer, helping our neighbor, lending an ear and a shoulder to cry on. Or we can be carriers of fear, feeding off the news and sharing it in a frightening manner, posting on social media information that is inaccurate without proper research which leads to frustration, more fear, and panic.
Remember, both hope and fear are contagious and those around you tend to catch whatever you’re carrying. So today, are you a carrier of hope or a carrier of fear? Be mindful of your audience, your actions, and your words as they impact those around you.
As fear spreads uncontrollably, be the light and the hope giver that this world needs!
