“A man’s station is only limited by his own imagination.” This is a quote from one of my family’s favorite movies, The Greatest Showman. Such a bold statement and true in most cases. Our imagination creates a gate that stops us from expanding, from growing, and sometimes from moving forward, because we are too afraid to dream of the impossible.
Children tend to have a vivid imagination and creative visualization. Have you ever stopped and listened in on their play time? From unicorns and mermaids, to wild stories and make believe, to what they want to be when they grow up. My youngest has a wild imagination, especially when she plays by herself. There is no one around to interrupt her train of thought or tell her what to do, so she self entertains for hours, and she comes up with the wildest stories for her stuffed animals and her dolls. As children start to grow up, majority will lose their imagination or stop dreaming because their reality or circumstances limit them or make them think their dreams are too impossible to achieve so they stop and the “why bother” syndrome kicks in. Only few will overcome that syndrome, overcome the fear and pursue the impossible to reach their imagination.
Walt Disney was one of those few who turned a rodent, hated by most, into one of the most beloved cartoon characters, a character that is welcomed in almost every house…Mickey Mouse. It takes imagination to achieve what Disney has. Not sure if you’ve been to any of the Disney theme parks, but one of their key words is “Imagination”. They encourage guests to expand their imagination, and believe in the impossible. If Disney can achieve that, why can’t you? Examine your imagination, and your day dreaming, how limited is your station? Can it be expanded? One dream at a time!

I look at Imagination as the potential and the Wether or not it is ever possible will be determined the extent of our belief and the extent of our Fear 😊❤
