Impactful Rise, Forgetful Fall

Have you ever gone ice skating? When you fall on the ice, it is absolutely painful, especially when you’re new to skating. Oh the bruises, and the painful thuds against the cold solid merciless ice. Attempting to brace the fall sometimes hurts even more and leads to more bruises. Even though the fall could be painful, to be able to rise and continue on is so gratifying and empowering.

When you think of your ice skating experience? Do you think of how painful your falls were or do you think of your ability to rise each and every time to continue on knowing full well that you might fall again? The same applies to our daily life. As you’re skating your way through life, do you hold onto the painful falls, dwelling on the mistakes and failures, or do you look back and think of how you rose above, accepting the fall but refusing to stay down for long, gliding on, regardless of the bruises.
