One of my girls’ school projects for this week is researching a country of their choosing, from food to attractions, history, famous artists, etc. While my daughter was reviewing her notes with the family, I noticed she struggled to read her handwriting. As I peaked on her paper, she had crammed so many words on one line, with very tiny space in between each word. When I asked why she didn’t use more space, she answered, “I thought I had to fit each note on a single line.”
Her comment got me thinking about the limitation she put upon herself. She made an assumption and created obstacles that led to her inability to decipher her notes later on.
Do you find yourself creating limitations around yourself that don’t really exist? Or setting boundaries that don’t need to be there but you assume they should. What could you accomplish if you removed those limits? Your journey and your life extend beyond a single line on a page. In fact, you have pages upon pages of your book to write.
