Something New

When was the last time you tried something for the first time, something new? Do you like trying new things and exploring new territories? I love learning, anything and everything. I never turn down the chance to learn something new, even if I have no use for it. The ability to take a path to a new area is exhilarating for me. I don’t ever want to miss out on anything that will expand my horizons. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to learn how to forge, and I immediately took advantage of the experience and soaked in all that came with it, from heating the metal, to bending it, to puncturing a hole in it. That day, I learned a skill that I will most likely never use in my lifetime, however, it brought excitement, and I was able to prove to myself that I can manipulate metal. Cheesy, but fantastic!

I punctured that hole

When was the last time you woke up in the morning and told yourself you were going to try something new that day? It doesn’t have to be a task, it could be trying a new cuisine, or maybe exploring nature in a different way, or even driving to work on a different road than the usual.

Although the idea of stepping out of our comfort zones can be scary when we try new things, if we don’t try, we could be missing out on discovering something wonderful. We never know where it will lead us, unless we try, and who knows what doors will be opened.

As you go through your day today, challenge yourself to trying something new, it doesn’t have to be drastic, just something that nudges you outside of your norm. I encourage you to roll up your sleeves and dive in; you never know what’s waiting on the other side.

“The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.” Brian Herbert

    Good post.

I like and true what you said “if we don’t try, we could be missing out on discovering something wonderful. We never know where it will lead us, unless we try, and who knows what doors will be opened”.
I have met couple people who were afraid to leave their confomt zone.
    God bless😊
