The Leaves of Change

Let it go…no, not the theme song for Disney’s Frozen. Let go of pain and anger. Let go of unwanted emotions and disappointments. Let go of whatever is hurting you and anything that’s making you feel rejected. Let go of the relationship(s) that’s causing you more pain than joy. We’ve all experienced loss and hurt at some point in time. Sometimes we hold on to that pain and rejection without realizing how much weight it’s adding to our existing load and how much it’s hindering us and holding us back.

LET IT GO

The sooner we take inventory of the bad things we’re holding on to, the sooner we can increase our awareness of what’s stopping us from thriving, the sooner we can start letting go and start building ourselves. The thought may seem terrifying. As we hold on to somethings so tightly, we lose ourselves in the process and when we start letting go, we begin to rediscover ourselves and that is a scary thought for some.

Think of the season we’re in right now…Fall! It’s a beautiful season as the leaves change and begin to fall. Even the tree knows that in order to produce a beautiful Fall and Spring, it needs to go through the changes to let go of the old and prepare for the new. How much more beautiful can you be if you were able to shed everything that made you anything short of the real YOU!
