Dare To Dream Again!

What would it be like if we all had the opportunity to work towards our dreams and visions every day? I believe we would be happier in general and the world would be changed.

It seemed so much easier to dream as a child than it does as an adult.  These visions and dreams even seemed easier to achieve when we were little than they do now.  Is it because as kids we didn’t have the full grasp of what life is like? Or, is it because we didn’t fully understand the concept of fear and its ability to paralyze us? Or perhaps it’s a combination of both.  As children, most of us were blessed with encouraging parents that pushed us to dream and believe in those dreams.  But as we seasoned in life, things started to change.  Our visions and dreams started to slowly fade away, and in its place came fear, doubts, and that nagging little negative voice.  Eventually, our day-to-day life took over to the point of exhaustion, and soon, our dreams and visions were nothing but a childhood fairytale that seems too impossible to achieve.  Not only that, but we feel guilty for wanting bigger and better things because of our responsibilities, our circumstances, and the impact it could have on our loved ones, so on and so forth.

Well, my friend, I am here to tell that you and I were designed to be great, to dream big, and to reach for the stars.  Our purpose was established before our existence.  It’s time to live that purpose and to start dreaming again.

If you are able to, take a day for yourself and disconnect.  Away from distractions and anything that could get your attention.  Get a journal and start dreaming.  Write those visions down, those dreams that seem far out of reach, no matter how wild and out of this world they are.  Sleep on them, pray over them.  Then set up a plan to help you make them happen.  It may take you a few months or it may take a few years, either way, it will be well worth it because you will be working towards what you want and towards your purpose.
