Don’t Fool Yourself

You can’t manage time!  You can only manage yourself!

How often do you find yourself wishing you had more time?

We tell ourselves we need to manage our time better, but we’re kidding ourselves and setting an unrealistic expectation since time is continuous and doesn’t need to be managed.  It moves steadily and consistently, regardless of what we do and how productive we are or aren’t.

So today, instead of focusing on time management, focus on managing your goals and priorities, maximizing the time you do have to achieve your desired goals.  Don’t get distracted, and don’t get discouraged.  The better you get at managing your priorities, the more time you will have to expand and do other things.

“Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.” — H. Jackson Brown Jr.
