A green yard looks beautiful from a distance but the green can be deceiving at times as you get closer to it.
I recently learned about crabgrass. Although it contains the word grass, it’s actually a weed that spreads like wildfire overwhelming and killing the good grass. This weed thrives on hot summer days, and even though it only lives for one year, what it does during that year has long-lasting consequences because it leaves behind seeds that germinate and take over the yard the following spring.
Beware of individuals that may seem beautiful in every way from a distance but as you get closer and spend time with them, you realize the long-lasting consequences they could have on your life if you’re not too careful. And beware of the bad seeds they leave behind, although they may seem innocent in the beginning, they could be damaging when they sprout.
Sometimes, your potential is determined by those around you. Are they building you up and encouraging you or holding you back?
