How can you lose a game before you even start playing you ask? Well, my friend, that’s by getting inside your head before you even make the first move, you psyche yourself out, and the next thing you know is either you avoid the game all together or you lose early on.
Often times when we’re faced with a new opportunity aka new challenge, we do two things. We either embrace it and go after it or we psyche ourselves out which leads to making excuses and having self-doubt. Sound familiar? Our excuses vary from not enough time to limited resources, and ultimately we begin to question our abilities and confidence. I’m here to tell you there is never enough time or resources, it’s easy to feel paralyzed. “Where can I start? Can I really do this? What if it’s not good and I wasted all this time and effort? What if I’m not GOOD ENOUGH? I’ll let you in on a secret, I’ve been there, I think we all have at one point or another.
It all starts with honesty.
When you become honest with yourself and you start to face the list of excuses you’ve already concocted before you have even started then you can face that list and realize that it’s just excuses, you will realize that there’s a way around each and every one of them. Honesty can help you come up with the work arounds. We tell ourselves the excuses so we can avoid taking responsibility and avoid seizing the opportunity. This is hard to hear, I know, but it’s true. We all have similar excuses. You cannot allow these doubts to sabotage you!
So today, look at the opportunities you’re presented with and ask yourself this “am I seizing them?” if you are, that’s great, congratulations! If not, ask yourself why? Make a list of your excuses and look for ways to overcome those excuses. I am here to help you and encourage you on your journey of growth.

I love this! I am trying to work on this mindset for everything I do. I have the passion to take action, but without that proper mindset then the action is not going to be as effective.
