As 2020 comes to an end, I can’t help but reflect on the year we’ve had. So many obstacles and so many challenges, yet so many blessings. I can list everything wrong that happened this past year, but I will be preaching to the choir, as we have all had our ups and downs. However, what I will chose to reflect on is the endless blessings that were placed upon my family and I. Blessings, of learning to home-school my girls and having the patience to do so when I never imagined I could. Blessings, of my husband being able to work from home and being more productive at home than at work. Blessings of remodeling our house at minimal cost and being able to sell it in the midst of a pandemic. Blessings of watching the personal and spiritual growth my family, especially my girls have experienced. God’s faithfulness has been so evident and present in our every move.
I am grateful for the good and the bad as we have learned to adapt and grow. 2020’s unique experiences have made us better, stronger, more resilient, and more appreciative.
Although so many of us are overjoyed to see this year come to an end, I keep reminding myself that when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, things will not magically get better. Life will continue into 2021 so will the pandemic, our problems, and our blessings. We have no control over what next year will look like but we do have control over our attitude and our gratitude.
HAPPY NEW YEAR’S
