There is a season for everything… a season for trials, a season for blessings, a season for growth, and a season for change. Since March, our family has experienced all those seasons and some. Our little family of four has grown so much as we experienced trials and blessings since COVID hit our world. We also started to experience the season of change as we tuned into our calling and what God was asking my family to do. It all began when schools transitioned to online learning in mid-March and I felt the Lord nudging me that my girls will be homeschooled moving forward. Then we felt the nudge to visit Idaho Falls, Idaho, and scope out the city. Little did we know that it would become our future home. Shortly after our trip, my husband’s job transitioned almost completely from home. We also began repairing and remodeling our house as we walked in faith, unaware of what the future had for us. In the midst of all these changes we experienced nothing but peace and serenity. The final step, the selling of our house, was when God made it clear; the season of change would take a bigger stride than we had ever anticipated and we felt overwhelmingly excited.
Everything our family has experienced in 2020, the good and the bad has led to this moment. The moment of saying goodbye to our current home, what we know, our friends and family, and embarking on a new journey into Idaho. The weekend of January 22nd, we are taking one of the biggest leaps of faith our family has ever taken, we are facing so much unknown, but our faith and trust are in the one who is leading our family and the one who is in control. We are excited to obey and follow our new calling to find out what God has in store for us. Taking a step into the unknown with a family is scary but also rewarding as the four of us will yet again experience trials but also growth, resilience, and stronger faith.
There comes a time in our lives where we know we need a change, everything within our beings tells us it’s time to change, and we feel this strong nudge and gut feeling that says CHANGE. However, we are too afraid to take the step because we don’t know what awaits us on the other side. It is a paralyzing feeling but also freeing and rewarding. If you happen to experience this then I encourage you to listen, to pay attention, and tune into whatever it is that’s telling you it’s time to change, it’s time to take a leap of faith, it’s time to start something new. You never know the reward that’s waiting for you.
